1. Choose the appropriate sealing material:
The sealing performance of hydraulic SAE flanges largely depends on the selection of sealing materials. The sealing material needs to be able to withstand the pressure, temperature, and medium in the hydraulic system. For example, in high-temperature environments, it may be necessary to use high-temperature resistant sealing materials such as fluororubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). For chemically corrosive media, it may be necessary to use materials that are resistant to chemical corrosion, such as polytetrafluoroethylene or nitrile rubber. The hardness of sealing materials can also affect their sealing performance. Excessive hardness may lead to rapid wear of seals, while insufficient hardness may result in poor sealing performance. Therefore, when selecting sealing materials, it is necessary to comprehensively consider their physical and chemical properties to ensure good sealing performance under various working conditions.

2. Accurate size matching:
The sealing performance of hydraulic SAE flanges is also affected by size fit. The dimensions of flanges and seals must be precise to ensure that the seals can be correctly installed on the flanges and form an effective seal. If the size does not match, it may cause the seal to not be installed correctly, thereby affecting the sealing effect. The surface roughness of flanges can also affect sealing performance. A surface that is too rough may lead to seal wear, while a surface that is too smooth may result in ineffective sealing of the seal. During the manufacturing and installation process, it is necessary to strictly control the size and surface roughness of flanges and seals to ensure good sealing performance.

3. Correct installation method:
The installation method of hydraulic SAE flange is crucial for its sealing performance. If installed improperly, it may cause damage to the seals or improper installation, thereby affecting the sealing effect. The correct installation method includes: ensuring that the surfaces of flanges and seals are clean, free of oil stains and dust; Install the seals in the prescribed order and direction to avoid twisting or stretching the seals; Then, use appropriate tools and methods to tighten the bolts, avoiding excessive or uneven tightening; Finally, check the tightness of the flange connection to ensure there are no leaks. Regular inspection and maintenance of flange connections are also necessary to ensure their long-term good sealing performance.

4. Appropriate fastening force:
The fastening force of hydraulic SAE flanges is crucial to their sealing performance. If the fastening force is too strong, it may cause excessive compression of the seal, thereby affecting its sealing performance; If the fastening force is too small, it may cause the seal to fail to form an effective seal. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the appropriate fastening force based on the type and size of the seal, as well as the working conditions of the hydraulic system. It is also necessary to regularly check the fastening force to ensure that it remains within the appropriate range at all times. When tightening bolts, a torque wrench can be used to ensure consistency and accuracy of the tightening force.

5. Regular inspection and maintenance:
The sealing performance of hydraulic SAE flanges needs to be ensured through regular inspection and maintenance. The inspection includes: wear of seals, corrosion of flanges, tightening of bolts, etc. If the seal is found to be severely worn, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner; If flange corrosion is found, cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment are required; If loose bolts are found, they need to be tightened again. It is also necessary to regularly check the pressure and temperature of the hydraulic system to ensure that it operates within the specified range. By regular inspection and maintenance, potential leakage issues can be identified and resolved in a timely manner, thereby ensuring the sealing performance of hydraulic SAE flanges.

6. Use appropriate lubricants:
Using appropriate lubricant at the hydraulic SAE flange connection can reduce friction and extend the service life of the seal. The selection of lubricants needs to consider the working conditions of the hydraulic system, such as temperature, pressure, and medium. For high-temperature environments, it is necessary to use lubricants that are resistant to high temperatures; For high-pressure environments, high viscosity lubricants are required; For chemically corrosive media, it is necessary to use lubricants that are resistant to chemical corrosion. The amount of lubricant added also needs to be appropriate, as too much or too little may affect the sealing performance. Suitable lubricants need to be selected based on the specific conditions of the hydraulic system, and added in the prescribed amount and frequency.

7. Avoid corrosion:
Corrosion of hydraulic SAE flanges can affect their sealing performance. Corrosion may be caused by environmental factors (such as humidity, temperature, chemicals, etc.) or material factors (such as the corrosion resistance of materials). To reduce corrosion, the following measures can be taken: choose corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, nickel based alloys, etc; Perform anti-corrosion treatment on the surface of the flange, such as coating, plating, etc; Then, regularly check the corrosion of the flange and promptly clean and prevent corrosion treatment; Avoid using chemicals that may cause corrosion. Through these measures, the corrosion of the flange can be effectively reduced, thereby ensuring its sealing performance.

8. Design a reasonable flange structure:
The structural design of hydraulic SAE flanges is crucial for their sealing performance. A reasonable flange structure can reduce the vortex and pressure loss of fluid at the flange connection, thereby reducing the possibility of leakage. When designing flanges, the following factors need to be considered: the size and shape of the flange need to match the working pressure and flow rate of the hydraulic system, and the surface roughness of the flange needs to be appropriate to ensure that the seal can form an effective seal; Then, the bolt holes and sealing grooves of the flange need to be precisely machined to ensure that the bolts and seals can be installed correctly.
